The Snapchat world is in an uproar over a Snapchat update that has been going around like a bad flu. The 10.25 update has been met with a great deal of resistance from Snapchat users. Some users even threatening to delete Snapchat in response to the update.
Where Did The Snapchat Stories Go? Why Are The Stories on The Chat Screen?
The biggest change you will see in the new 2018 Snapchat update is the movement of the Snapchat stories from the stories page along with the discover stories, to the chat page. Instead of an icon to the right of each conversation you will see either the Bitmoji that represents the person in the chat or a thumbnail of the persons Snapchat story. So if you take a look at the Snapchat story page and notice that there are no stories along the top of the page, this is because in the most recent Snapchat update the Stories have been moved to the Chat screen which is the screen where you open snaps.
How to Watch A Snapchat Story in The New Snapchat Update
With the new Snapchat update, stories of users that you converse with the most on Snapchat will be easier to access than stories created by users you rarely talk too. This is because the story will be associated with the position of the person in your inbox. So someone who you never snap will be at the bottom of the chat page, and so will their story. The only way to see a story created by someone you do not snap often will be to scroll down and find it. This is extremely annoying and is why many Snapchat users are not happy with the update.
Why Are Their Bitmoji Faces in My Snapchat Feed?
Another feature of the new 2018 Snapchat update is the presence of Bitmoji faces in the place where there was once an icon that showed you the status of your snap. Now the status of the snap is now located below the username of the person. The new update is trying to give bitmoji’s a bigger roll. This way you will have a visual as to who the snap is from as apposed to just a username.
How to Get The Old Version of Snapchat Back
If you have been one of the unlucky few to have your Snapchat app updated to the new annoying 2018 update, you may ask the question “how can I get the old Snapchat back?” To answer this question our team started an experiment. The best method we found to get the older version of Snapchat is to delete the Snapchat app off of your phone, then re-download the app. This method does not work 100% of the time but no other method has been successful.

If you are one of the rare few that actually wants the annoying 2018 Snapchat update you are going to have to get lucky. For some reason the update is only active on certain people’s Snapchat accounts. If you do not have the New 2018 Snapchat update then there is no way for you to get the update. The 2018 Snapchat update has been very mysterious and very little has been announced regarding its full release. It seems like Snapchat is testing the new update on certain accounts before it makes the full debut.
