Snapchat has most major cities covered when we are talking about geofilters. Some cities even have multiple. In this article, I will be discussing a snapchat filter that is available in Manhattan, New York City, New York.
Manhattan is known as one of the five boroughs. The other boroughs are Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Staten Island. Manhattan, however, is what the average person would think of when you say New York City. It is known as the Big Apple. Manhattan, NYC, NY is home to many of the United Sates most well known landmarks. Some of these include the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Ground Zero which used to be the site of the World Trade Center. Before 9/11, the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center, were there tallest skyscrapers in the United States. Although New York City, New York has had detrimental terrorist attacks in the past, it is still known as one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. Manhattan also is home to many celebrities, artists and professional sports players. It is also home to Broadway and Central Park. All of these things help bring tourism to the borough, city, and state each year. Manhattan, New York City’s snapchat filter was one of the earliest released and is still one of the most used filters. The filter consists of a small logo at the bottom of the screen. The word “Manhattan” is written in all caps in white letters. All of the letters are different heights; meant to mimic the look of a city skyline. In addition to this, the second “A” in the word is adapted to look like a skyscraper itself with an antenna at the tip top of it. This logo rests at the bottom left corner of the screen and reaches into the middle of the screen. This filter looks great on any picture you can take in the Big Apple.
