With summer finally right around the corner, BBQ’s and cook outs will begin to occur across the country. A joke that you might see at a cook out in your neighborhood may be a chef’s hat that says kiss the cook. Snapchat created a lens for people to use for this exact reason.
On the weekend of Memorial Day in 2016 snapchat released a snapchat lens that allows anyone to turn themselves into a BBQ chef by simply applying a snapchat filter. The kiss the cook steak chef snapchat lens allows anyone to turn themselves into a grill master. The lens starts by adding a filter that has a grill top with a few sizzling steaks sitting on top. There appears to be smoke rising from the steaks. I can just imagine the smell of a cook out this Memorial Day. The lens also applies a large chef hat to the top of your head as well as a mustache to your face. The lens also morphs your cheeks to make them look a little fatter. On the chef’s hat there is some red text that reads “kiss the cook”. This is making fun of the novelty shirts and hats that some cooks wear as a joke.
