I enjoyed this show very much since I love historical dramas. Well written, intriguing and it wike up the interest of looking for more information about this writer. Please do bring a second season to conclude the history of her life.

Honestly, I am very disappointed with thecway Netflix treat its customers. There are excellent soap operas from Turkey, and Spain, they stream several chapters but not the whole series even those recorded many years ago. Why do they do this? Did they pay for the entire series or a way to deceive us. Try to he more consistent with something called good service.

The first season of JI was very well written and acted, and was a visual delight! A true pleasure to watch! Netflix needs more series such as this! Season 2 cannot come quickly enough!!!

While the thought of a 2nd season is exciting, how would it be possible when she died at the end of Season 1?

    1. Scotteroo

My thought exactly. Just because Netflix says “season 1” doesn’t mean there’s going to be a “season 2.” It’s clear that this was a seven-episode story, not an ongoing series. It would be pretty hard to fill another series named for someone who’s dead.

While you wait for the second season, I strongly recommend the book “Sor Juana’s Second Dream” by Alicia Gaspar de Alba. I bet this book was the inspiration for the series’s writer.

I really enjoy the series the first season was fantastic, I believe we shouldn’t have to wait so much for the second season, one year it absolutely to much to wait. Please bring it this year.

Very Much Enjoyed! I would love a Season 2 but like others commented “how, if she dies?” That being said, it would also be nice for other influential figures to be placed in the spotlight and have a series be made in their honour. I am Mexican, never knew her story, but believe it’s one worth knowing. I know there are many others with equally interesting stories we would love to learn about.

It is a very intresting, an very well written. I would love to see the second season soon , one year is a very long time to wait, by then the interest of watching it will be gone.

I have one more episode to watch in season one and I can’t wait for season 2! As a historian and a lover of poetry and literature, this show is up my alley. The acting, wardrobe and overall production are top notch. I love it!

I loved this series! Please bring season 2 ASAP & not in a year!
Also there is another Spanish telenovela called ISABEL which I watched on Drama Fever app.
It is a novela about Queen Isabel 1. ISABEL would be a great series on Netflix!
