  1. I just finished Season 1 of “The Break,” which leaves viewers wanting to see Season 2, if only to find out if indeed “It will all be OK, Camille” turns out to be true. If there is no Season 2, that was a very unsatisfying ending.

  2. Taking a “break” of a year between seasons seems ridiculous! Netflix should try harder, if they expect a following from viewers.

  3. Hi,

In fact, The Break (original title : La Trêve) is a Belgian show created by the Belgian television.
It has been shot in the Ardennes in Belgium.

The second season is already confirmed but no release date yet.

  4. I just finished watching the whole show. Great! Hope there is a season 2 since there is no resolution in the end. Superb acting and plot.

  5. Truthfully, I couldn’t figure out why all the suspects admitted to being the killer of the soccer player. Did I miss something?

    1. Don’t tease us with a very interesting season 1 and not follow-up with a second season. Leaving watchers hanging is not good PR.

  6. Season 2! Bring on Season 2! Haven’t quite gotten to the last episode, but it is a very well done, suspenseful show. The characters are so well-written, perfectly not perfect. I got hooked immediately.

    Season 2, yes, PLEASE.

  7. Did you even watch the show? It’s set in Belgium, not France! It was filmed in the Ardennes mountains, they do mention it’s in the Ardennes several times during the show!!Also, the main character was from Brussels…hint hint: Brussels is in Belgium!

    1. It’s laughable, right?! It’s Belgium. It’s mentioned numerous times. Now a few of the actors are French, I recognize the accent. (I lived in Paris for a few years) They mention Flemish, Brussels and so on.

  8. Thank you to all who said the setting is Belgium, not France. Yes, Inspector Peeters is from Brussels. Is it filmed near Rochefort? Durbuy? For those who don’t know, Belgium has three official languages and fairly distinct cultures with strands that tie things together–French, Flemish, and German. The Ardennes are in Wallonia, the French-speaking part. Flemish (Dutch) is in the North. German is in a tiny part of the eastern border of the country. I loved the reminders of my second country, like Brico, the boxes from Carrefour, Carnival, the bread! and the beer. Can’t wait to see Season 2. Good job, Netflix.

  9. Incredibly well-done series. Bravo Netflix for bringing us quality programming! Hate we have to wait so long between seasons, however. Binge watched this season and can’t wait for the next!

  10. I do hate waiting, it’s not so bad for other Netflix Originals, they do not arouse
the amateur detective in me. Inspector Peeters reminds me of 2 of my fictional
favorites, Harry Bosch (Michael Connelly) and Lucas Davenport (John Sandford).
    Looking forward.

  11. Excellent. Acting is superb. Setting is beautiful. The road through the trees is fantastic and likely meaningful as trees are discussed by the characters. Later episodes show felled trees. The death of Peeters’ wife raises questions. We are looking forward to season 2 and hope it is aired much sooner than Novemer 2017. Netflix is commended for another very memorable series.
