Many pieces of a student’s life change when they start college at a large four year university such as The University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, or even Duke University. Many student’s diet suddenly changes from delicious home cooked meals, to greasy fast food. Another big change for many college students is being away from home. For many, being away from home means having to find a new dentist that is close to the university that they attend.
Dentists for College Students in the Triangle
I moved to Raleigh to continue my education at North Carolina State University. As I settled into my new environment I faced a few hurdles as I adjusted to life in an unfamiliar place. One of the major ones was finding a new dentist to care for my teeth. I began my search just like anyone else would; by conducting a Google search. As I looked for a dentist near my school I was surprised to see the wide variety of options that were available to me. I was honestly a bit overwhelmed by the different options. It is safe to say that when you move to the triangle, you will have no problems finding a dentist that suits your taste.
Is it Hard to Find a Dentist as a College Student at North Carolina State University?
North Carolina State University is nestled along the edge of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. When it comes to dentistry in the Raleigh area, students have a variety to choose from. there are at least five different dentists within walking distance from NC State’s campus. This is extremely convenient, especially if you are without a car.
If you happen to have a car with you during your time at NC State you have too many options to count. My recommendation is to call around and be sure that each dentist accepts your insurance. That way you can narrow your search. Then once you have narrowed the field, visit the offices and see which one makes you feel the most at home.
