Snapchat is one of this generation’s most popular communication methods. The short lived nature of Snapchat messages appear to be a safety blanket for Snapchat users. One of Snapchat’s newest features is the Snap Map. The Snap map allows you to see where your friends are. This ability is dependent on whether or not your friends have their location visible or whether or not they are in ghost mode (have their location hidden). Not only does the Snap map allow you to see where your friends are, it also allows you to see if they have been active on Snapchat or not.
Use The Snap Map to See Who Is Ignoring Your Snaps
In addition to showing you where some of your friends are hanging out for the day, the Snap Map can also tell you if someone has been active on Snapchat or using Snapchat recently. If you want to tell if someone has been using snapchat all you have to do is tap on someone’s Bitmoji on the Snap map. When you select a Bitmoji on the map you will get something that looks like this:
As you can see, in addition to the person’s Bitmoji face and name, you will find some small light grey text that reads:”Seen 50m ago.” Depending on when the person last opened the snapchat app, the time will be different. In the example above, the person last opened the Snapchat app 50 min prior. If the person is currently using snapchat the time stamp will read: “Seen now.” You can use this information to see whether or not someone is ignoring your Snaps.
If the time stamp on the Snap you sent is greater than the time stamp on their Snap Map location, that means that the person has been using the Snapchat app and is ignoring your Snap. Not to cause drama but it is simply the truth. Actually, I take that back. Don’t take it personally if it looks like they are ignoring your snaps. It could simply be a glitch that is just making it seem as though they are ignoring your Snap.
