I love how half of the comment section is parents that have kids that love the show and cried at the last episode of season 2, and then the other half is older fans that love the show and cried at the last episode of season 2. I am in highschool and I’m not exactly sure why I like this show so much, but after watching all of the episodes in a few hours and gasping in horror as there was only a few seconds on the video playback timer on the last episode of season 2, realizing Lucky wasn’t going to be able to save Spirit that episode, I literally panicked and just sat there for a moment, unable to breathe, and then after looking this up and realizing it’s over 100 days until January 1st, I basically sobbed. The characters have really grown on me and I am still half-confused as to why I am so in love with a Netflix kids series but I want a season 3 as much as any 2-7 year would like a season three. *loud sobbing*

Spirit: Riding Free is such a cute series. I’ve enjoyed it so far, but I couldn’t believe what happened at the end of Season 2. I had to experience that before with the first season of Trollhunters, which also ended on a cliffhanger. I couldn’t blame anyone for feeling sad or upset about how season two ends. I was shocked by the ending of season two. I couldn’t cry. I just found it sad. I feel a slight mental trauma from seeing the last episode of season two end with Spirit on the train being forced to leave Lucky.

My 8 years old daughter came to see me crying and telling me something horrible happens to Spirit and Lucky, I didn’t watch the series but obviously it was a reallly sad and upsetting ending as she was reallllly affected, she cannot wait for season 3 and I have to convince her that Spirit will be fine, what kind of ending is that for a child serie?! Pretty harsh and traumatic 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😩😩😱😍

This is one show that my daughter and I can watch together that I really enjoy. We CANNOT WAIT for season 3. Season 2 ended in such a cliff hanger. They HAVE to save Spirit. Not cool Netflix. Coming from a teen, that was not a cool cliff hanger. I understand trying to keep people interested but that went too far. At least come out with a part 2 so we can see Lucky get Spirit back. I cried not going to lie. Coming from someone who loves and rides horses, not cool. There had better be a trailer out soon so we can see Lucky get Spirit back. Also, I understand wanting to have a “bad guy” but that went too far. At least let an episode or to come out earlier so we can see what happens. Again, that was not a good ending for a kids show.

My 7 year old has just watched the end of the season 2, and was inconsolable. Not cool Netflix, a bit of sadness is ok but not at the end of a series when we have to wait until January to see Spirit and Lucky reunited. Take note Netflix writers.

Netflix, Dreamworks a word of advice, shows like Voltron are great for Cliffhangers.
Childrens shows like Spirit are not. Please, get Season 3 out ASAP and try to make it an actual Season. Normal typical seasons are 12 episodes each. You’ve made a LOT of children cry and sad…and parents that now need to console them. Some of which as stated above will not understand.

While watching my grandson we blew thru both seasons of Spirit Riding Free in a week! He’s only 2 1/2 and it captured his attention as well as mine. Finally a family show adults can enjoy as well as kids. It’s content is top notch, and I can’t wait for Season 3!!

One night I was just searching Netflix for something for my 5 year old son to watch and we ran into season 1 of Spirit and he absolutely loved it. The secret was that I ended up loving it just as much. When season 2 came out we were both so excited for it. We took one episode each night and we watched together right before bed time. At the end of season 2 both of us were in shock with how it ended. As I told my son the good thing with how it ended their definitely will be a season 3. I would love to see more episodes to season 3. It would be great if they could double it to 12 or 13 episodes knowing how strong of a audience that this show brings with very high ratings. Would love to see season 3 come out before the January guess that people are talking about. Strike while the iron is hot Netflix ……

I loved the original movie but didn’t know there was a series until recently (we never had Netflix before about a month ago.) I went through all the episodes quickly but was horrified that they left it in such a terrible place. Auugh!

Kids aren’t used to Cliffhangers like that. As an adult I’ve had my share. My daughter is 10 and she was Furious. She was yelling they can’t end on a cliffhanger like that they just can’t that’s mean. She knows that spirit will be okay, but for younger kids it is a bit harsh to make them wait 4 months. To a four or five year old that’s an eternity. It certainly has guaranteed a season 3.
