As I was doing my daily rounds on Snapchat today I saw something that nearly brought me to tears… Not only did Snapchat add a group video chat feature, Snapchat finally fixed a problem that users have been complaining about for months now. Snapchat has made it one million times easier to find and view Snapchat stories.

How to Use the New Snapchat Stories Page!
I hope you are as excited as I am. Snapchat has removed the stories from your feed page and added a new page for both groups and stories. Here is what the new Snapchat stories page looks like:
Pretty slick if you ask me. Now to see people’s Snapchat story all you have to do is swipe to the right. This will bring you to the new Snapchat story page. Swiping right again will bring you to a page dedicated to your Snapchat group chats.
This update makes it so much easier to find and view the stories that you want to see. When Snapchat updated last winter, users were in a frenzy, demanding that Snapchat switch things back to the way they used to be. Although this is not the same as things were pre-winter 2018 I think this update makes watching stories even easier than before. Snapchat promised a change and by golly we got one.
How to See Snapchat Stories on the New Snapchat Update
So basically what Snapchat has done in this new update is make things much much easier for users; about time right? To watch stories on the new Snapchat update all you need to do is swipe over to your chat screen just like before. On your messaging screen you will now see tabs at the top of the screen that read “Groups”, “Stories”, and “Chats”. Swiping to the left one more time will open up the new and improved Snapchat story page (if you would like you can also just tap the tabs at the top of the screen). Here is what the tabs will look like:
Looks pretty nice right? Now you can see who is posting on their Snapchat story without it all being cluttered on the chat screen.
The one problem that I have found with the April 2018 Snapchat update is that I constantly find myself accidentally swiping over to the new story page when I try to respond to a chat. I can live with this inconvenience. Another small issue with the new Snapchat update is that there is no way to chat with someone without first opening a snap that they have sent you. Again this is a small price to pay for a much easier to use Snapchat story page.
I am super excited to use this new update and relive what it is like to use Snapchat without the frustration of trying to find people’s Snapchat story. Another great plus is that Snapchat group chats are now in a separate place so it is easier to find them.
