Netflix’s most recent original series has made its debut on the streaming service on Groundhog Day and subscribers have mixed feelings about the series. Altered Carbon is a science fiction action series that is full of violence and drama. So far Netflix subscribers have either loved the series or hated it. One question a lot of subscribers are asking is about the main character of the series, Takeshi Kovacs.

Who is Takeshi Kovacs in Altered Carbon?

Takeshi Kovacs is the primary protagonist in Netflix’s newest original series Altered Carbon. Takeshi is a very gifted character as he possesses capabilities that nobody else has. He can sense very slight movements and sounds and even track people through walls. These gifts help him survive throughout the series and help him battle on.

What Actor Plays Takeshi Kovacs in Altered Carbon?

If you have started watching, or maybe even finished Altered Carbon season one, you might have thought that the main character of the series Takeshi Kovacs bears a striking resemblance to rapper G-Eazy. I myself thought that maybe G-Eazy may have played Takeshi Kovacs in an attempt to launch an acting career on top of his music career. Upon further investigation it was found that G-Eazy was not a part of the cast for Altered Carbon. Takeshi Kovacs was actually played by Swedish actor Joel Kinnaman. Im not sure if I would normally equate Kinnaman with G-Eazy. So the answer to the question “is G-Eazy in the show Altered Carbon?” is no. Im not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing but it is what it is.
